Chief’s Motor Group was built on grit, family, and a determination to do things differently. In early 2020, as the world stood still during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chase Riley turned a North Austin garage into a fully operational auto repair shop. With his expertise as an ASE-certified mechanic and the support of his wife and baby daughter, the foundation for something extraordinary was laid.
What began in a small garage quickly grew, fueled by trust, strong word-of-mouth, and a steadily growing clientele. By the end of 2020, we moved into our first automotive facility in Leander, TX, outfitted with a single hydraulic automotive lift. For the first time, we could lift vehicles to perform more advanced repairs, taking our commitment to high-quality auto repair to the next level. Year by year, we expanded—adding more lifts, a talented team of technicians, and a passion for serving our local community.
In 2024, we reached a major milestone, doubling our workspace and transforming our shop into a full-service facility equipped to handle a wide range of vehicles. Today, Chief’s Motor Group is more than a repair shop—we’re a trusted partner for drivers in Leander and beyond, delivering exceptional service built on honesty, expertise, and a personal touch.
Chase Riley, owner and operator of Chief’s Motor Group, has always been driven by a passion for cars and a desire to do things the right way. An Austin native, Chase completed the Automotive Repair Program at Austin Community College and earned ASE certifications in multiple categories, building a strong foundation in vehicle repair and diagnostics.
Chase’s experience spans working at BMW of Austin, Christian Brothers Automotive, and various independent shops. Through these roles, he gained valuable expertise, particularly with luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes-Benz, and a deeper understanding of the auto repair industry.
At just 24 years old, Chase launched Chief’s Motor Group in 2020, determined to make a difference by building a shop centered on integrity, quality, and trust. With the support of his wife and young daughter, Chase created a space where clients feel confident in the care their vehicles receive.
Today, as both the leader and hands-on operator of Chief’s Motor Group, Chase is proud to set a higher standard for automotive repair. His dedication to honest service and exceptional craftsmanship continues to guide everything the shop does.
